TDP Cadre Happy, YSRCP Cadre Criticizes Jagan

The TDP cadre in Andhra Pradesh is pleased with the liquor scheme that allows almost every MLA to earn a share from it.

According to sources, in a constituency with an average population of 3 lakhs, around 60,000 to 70,000 quarter bottles of liquor are being consumed by the public daily. If the average cost of each bottle is considered to be Rs 100, just imagine the total revenue generated from liquor sales each month.

It’s widely known that 14% of this revenue is the shopkeeper's commission, which amounts to roughly Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 3 crore per month. Of this, 20% is given to the MLA, which totals around Rs 50 lakh. This means each MLA is earning a solid Rs 50 lakh just from liquor sales, like a silent partner.

Seeing this, the YSRCP cadre is fuming at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's regime, which centralized all liquor sales, preventing MLAs from earning through this scheme.

Currently, in Alliance rule, people are happy with the availability of quality liquor, MLAs are content with receiving their share of the profits, and the party workers, who act as the liquor salesforce, are also pleased with the money flowing into their pockets.

However, during Jagan's regime, both sand and liquor sales were centralized, leaving no room for others to profit. This led MLAs to resort to occupying private lands, engaging in settlements, and land grabs, which backfired and severely damaged the party's image.

It's not just about restricting the earnings of party members; it's also widely known that many YSRCP members spent their own money on the party's campaign but never got their bills cleared, incurring significant losses. This highlights the stark difference between how Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy treat their MLAs and party workers.
