Target Jagan: TDP's Desperate Action?

Former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is facing intensified attacks from leaders of the ruling alliance, as his successive public visits and massive support seem to be unsettling them.

The TDP-led alliance did not expect Jagan, who was reduced to just 11 seats, to recover from the electoral shock so quickly. However, his popularity remains intact, as seen in the large crowds gathering during his tours.

Jagan was surrounded by supporters both during his visit to meet Vallabhaneni Vamsi in Vijayawada and at Guntur Mirchi Yard, where he interacted with farmers.

This overwhelming public response has particularly embarrassed TDP leaders, leading them to launch personal and political attacks against him.

A female minister even went to the extent of claiming that Jagan had lost his sanity, urging his wife to take him to a doctor for a check-up—a remark that reflects the unease within the ruling party.

It is evident that TDP leaders lack answers to the questions Jagan has been raising, resorting instead to personal attacks to keep him out of the public eye. However, Jagan remains unfazed, continuing his engagement with the masses.

His growing popularity is only fueling his enthusiasm, and today, he is set to tour Srikakulam. Moving forward, he plans to stay connected with the people under various initiatives.

As a mass leader, Jagan enjoys consistent public support. His only misstep, some argue, was distancing himself from the people while in power. However, now that he is actively engaging with them, no one can stop him.

Despite TDP leaders downplaying his role, calling him merely a Pulivendula MLA rather than the Leader of the Opposition, their undeniable fear of his political resurgence is evident. Political analysts believe this is why Jagan is facing relentless attacks.

If TDP truly believed Jagan was irrelevant, they wouldn't need to target him so frequently. However, their persistent criticism suggests that they see him as a future political threat and are desperately trying to contain his rise.
