Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandraababu Naidu does not let go any opportunity to run down his rival YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, even if the issue pertains to the latter’s family.
Referring to the plans of Jagan’s sister Y S Sharmila to float a new political party in Telangana, Naidu told reporters on Wednesday that Sharmila was the victim of yet another treachery of Jagan.
“The chief minister has not hesitated to cheat his own sister on which he owed an answer to the public. Whenever there is a chance, Jagan would give elaborate lectures on credibility but when it came to his sister, he was not practising the same,” the TDP chief said.
He demanded that the YSRC president should explain why Sharmila, the arrow he had released against the TDP in the past, was now turning against him.
“Jagananna vadilina banam' (arrow released by Jagan) is now going in a reverse direction,” he said.
Naidu alleged that Jagan had come to power in 2019, not because of his credibility but by resorting to total lies and deception against his family members and against the people of Andhra Pradesh.
“He demanded CBI inquiry into the murder of his own uncle Vivekananda Reddy but after coming to power, he said there was no need for the CBI probe. It was only after Viveka's daughter went to the court that the murder case was being investigated by the CBI. Viveka's daughter had a right to know who were the culprits in the murder,” the TDP chief pointed out.
He demanded that Jagan should answer for this and he should explain whether or not he was repeatedly going to Delhi to get relief for the accomplices from the CBI probe.
