Dr. Narreddy Suneetha, the daughter of the late former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy, presented her case in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Dr. Suneetha had filed a petition in the apex court seeking the cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy in connection with her father's murder.
The CBI had identified Avinash Reddy as A8 in the case and filed an additional petition in the vacation bench of the Telangana High Court.
While presenting her case, Dr. Suneetha informed the Supreme Court that the vacation bench of the Telangana High Court did not consider the evidence provided by the CBI.
She also alleged that the vacation bench did not take into account the points raised by the CBI when granting anticipatory bail to Avinash Reddy.
She informed the court that Avinash Reddy was not cooperating with the CBI during the investigation and had avoided appearing before them despite repeated notices.
Dr. Suneetha requested the Supreme Court to cancel the anticipatory bail and direct the CBI to question Avinash Reddy. She also urged the apex court to instruct Avinash Reddy to be available for investigation by the CBI.
The court, while advising her to hire an advocate, scheduled the next hearing for June 19.
The court also informed Dr. Suneetha that Avinash Reddy was appearing before the CBI every Saturday as directed by the vacation bench of the Telangana High Court.
