Stone Pelting Case, Cops Book Cases On TDP Leaders

Prakasam district police booked cases against TDP leaders who organized a meeting with party chief N Chandrababu Naidu in Yerragondapalem on Friday.

The police stated that the TDP leaders held the meeting without permission.

Local DSP Kishore Kumar told the media that the TDP leaders did not obtain permission from the police to hold a meeting at Minister Adimulapu Suresh’s office.

The DSP also stated that they were collecting video footage of the TDP meeting where Chandrababu Naidu spoke.

“We will identify the TDP activists who pelted stones at the Minister’s office,” the DSP said, adding that there was retaliation from the Minister’s supporters and YSR Congress activists.

The police declared that they would not hesitate to take action against those who threw stones.

“We are trying to identify who started pelting stones first. We will take severe action against the guilty,” the DSP said.

While Naidu and the yellow media alleged that YSR Congress leaders pelted stones at Naidu, the Minister and ruling party leaders alleged that Naidu held a meeting at the Minister’s office solely to provoke the ruling party workers.

The Minister also alleged that TDP activists were the first to throw stones at the Minister’s office while Naidu was making a provocative speech.
