The political criticism in Andhra Pradesh has crossed all limits of decency and decorum these days. Time and again, there has been a criticism against state minister for civil supplies Kodali Nani for foul-mouthing his political opponents.
But what is worse, even leaders like Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who held the chief minister post for nearly 14 years, is losing his tongue in public.
“You are talking about insider trading in Amaravati. It has been 19 months since you came to power. Emi peekav? (What have you plucked?” he asked chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Amaravati rally on Thursday.
His party’s Andhra unit president and senior legislator K Atchen Naidu, also known for his aggressive talk in public, went a step further on Friday and described the ministers in Jagan cabinet as dogs.
“Some ministers in the state are talking in such a way that they are worse than barking dogs. I am very anguished at their ugly comments against a senior leader like Chandrababu Naidu. We can make much worse comments than them, but we don’t want to stoop to such a level,” he said.
Atchen said these ministers were acting like stooges of Jagan Mohan Reddy and warned of serious action against them once the TDP came to power.
“We are noting down each and every sentence of these ministers. Nobody will be spared,” he warned.
