Shocking Silence Of YCP Seniors

Vizag: The YCP, now in opposition, faces daily challenges. In these difficult times, the silence of senior members is startling the party.

With the current government issuing notices to YCP offices demanding explanations within a week, senior members should have stepped up to respond.

In Uttarandhra, many senior members remain silent and have not spoken out since the election results.

Ex-Minister Gudivada Amarnath is the only one in the Visakha district actively addressing issues. He is leading the charge in criticizing the government, questioning the legality of TDP buildings, and vocally opposing the notices posted on his party office, warning of severe consequences if any action is taken.

Seediri Appala Raju of Srikakulam district, another former minister, has also spoken out. He criticized the TDP, warning that if the government starts its rule with demolitions, it should prepare for defeat.

Appala Raju questioned the policy of destroying government property by attacking RBK centers and secretariats, even when they run good programs.

Along with him, a few leaders who have been given opportunities as MLCs are beginning to speak up in the media.

Many are puzzled by the senior members' reluctance to speak against the Alliance government. Other YCP members are questioning whether anything could be more important than defending the party when its offices are targeted.

Within the YCP, there's a debate about how the party will sustain a five-year struggle if a truce flag is shown less than three weeks after the results, accompanied by a stoic silence.
