Sharmila sends Rakhi wishes to Jagan on twitter!

Breaking the years’ long practice of tying Rakhi to Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister, his only sister Y S Sharmila preferred to send Raksha Bandhan wishes to her brother through social media.

Sharmila, who launched her own political party in Telangana last month, has not been seeing eye to eye with her brother, after he strongly opposed her political entry.

She has not been in talking terms with her brother, though she has not openly made any comments against him.’

But since it would send a wrong message to the people if she doesn’t wish her brother on Raksha Bandhan day, Sharmila tweeted on Sunday, stating that she sincerely wished happiness and prosperity to her sibling “Jagananna.”

At the same time, she did not confine her wishes only to Jagan. Along with “Jagananna,”

Sharmila also extended Raksha Bandhan wishes to every brother – elder and younger, who stood by her and were walking along with her in the path she had chosen to fulfil her aspirations.

Her tweet gave a clear indication that all is not well between Sharmila and Jagan and she had to extend the wishes to him only for the sake of courtesy.

By choosing the social media platform, she gave a clear indication that she did not want to meet him personally to tie the Rakhi.

On the day of launching her party on July 8, coinciding with the birth anniversary of her father late Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, too, Sharmila did not meet Jagan.

In fact, Jagan rescheduled his visit to YSR’s Samadhi at Idupulapaya, to evening only to avoid meeting Sharmila, who came there in the morning.

Sharmila also made certain political comments in support of Telangana, and opposing the stand taken by Jagan to protect the interests of Andhra Pradesh. She declared that she would question anybody to safeguard the interests of the Telangana.
