Several seniors in waiting list for nominated posts

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is undertaking yet another hectic exercise to fill up the nominated posts with several aspirants from three alliance partners – TDP, Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party anxiously pinning their hopes.

The chief minister has already announced two lists of nominated posts.

The first list provided opportunities to 21 individuals, and the second list included 59, yet the number of aspirants is significantly high.

Recently, Naidu held discussions with Jana Sena Party chief and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan on filling up the third round of nominated posts. According to reports, several senior leaders are likely to get opportunities in the upcoming list.

According to sources, leaders who made sacrifices, such as giving up seats during the elections at the party’s suggestion, are expected to be rewarded with positions. Currently, discussions are underway regarding the names proposed by the three parties.

Senior leaders from the TDP, such as former minister Devineni Uma, former MLC Buddha Venkanna, Nagul Meera, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, and Yamini Bala, are waiting for opportunities.

Similarly, MLAs who sacrificed their seats, including Kommalapati Sridhar, Verma from Pithapuram, Prabhakar Chowdary, and Sugunamma, are also expected to secure positions.

It is estimated that over 60 corporations in the state need to be filled. Names have reportedly been finalized for positions like the Planning Commission and State Finance Corporation.

Additionally, appointments need to be made to caste-based associations. Leaders who worked for the TDP’s victory during the elections are hopeful of being prioritized in this list.

Recently, Rajanagaram leader Pendurthi Venkatesh was assigned the responsibility of overseeing the Chief Minister’s programs with cabinet status. Leaders such as Malyadri, Darapuneni Narendra, and AV Subba Reddy are expecting positions.

From the BJP, names like Pathuru Nagabhushanam, Annam Satish, Baji, and Kola Anand are in the race. And from Jana Sena, leaders like Ammishetti Vasu, Rayapati Aruna, Ramakrishna, and Bonaboyina Srinivas Yadav are also hopeful.

Consequently, there is growing interest in who will secure positions in this list.
