Sajjala's Appointment Sparks Uproar in YCP

YCP leadership has announced new positions in the party, reshuffling the Political Advisory Committee (PAC) and appointing new members.

The list of 33 members was provided on YCP letterhead, stating that the reshuffling was done on the order of YCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

At the bottom of the letter, it was mentioned that the party’s current state coordinator, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, would act as the PAC convenor.

However, just with that last line, a revolt occurred within the party. Many members called Jagan's office and expressed their displeasure over Sajjala’s appointment.

Within 30 minutes of the revolt, a revised circular was released, changing his position to 'PAC Coordinator' only.

This situation highlights the kind of antipathy the party cadre has toward Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.

Many believe that Sajjala himself gave this position to himself and printed it on the letterhead, which some see as a gross misuse of power.

"The party cadre is upset because it seems there is no control from the party chief, which has led to mistakes and revolts. Many party leaders are still perplexed about why Jagan Mohan Reddy continues to keep Sajjala in the party when the revolt is widespread and there are no open supporters for him", says an insider.
