YSR Congress party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy, who attacks Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu day in and day out, made an interesting revelation on Saturday.
He disclosed to the media that he was a distant relative of Naidu.
“Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, who happens to be grandson of Naidu’s father-in-law N T Rama Rao, is married to my niece (daughter of Sai Reddy wife’s sister). So, both the families are related. In a way, Naidu happens to be my elder brother,” he said.
Sai Reddy was referring to this strange relationship with Naidu while referring to the TDP’s criticism that Refuting the opposition allegations over his links with Adan Distilleries.
TDP spokesman Kommareddy Pattabhi alleged that one Srinivasa Kashichayanula, who is the director of Adan Distillery, is a director in several companies owned by Vijayasai Reddy's son-in-law Pennaka Rohit Reddy.
“Just because some person is a shareholder in my relative’s company, I cannot become the owner of that company. If that is the case, Chandrababu Naidu happens to be my distant relative. Does it mean his Heritage Group belongs to me?” Sai Reddy asked.
He wondered whether all his assets belonged to Chandrababu Naidu and all the assets of Naidu belonged to him.
“I have direct relationship only with Aurobindo Pharma promoters. Now that Naidu is my distant relative, does it mean Aurobindo and Heritage are also related?” he asked.
Sai Reddy also clarified that the cruise business in Visakha does not belong to his daughter.
He gave a stern warning to the TDP leaders not to drag his family into cheap politics.
The YSRC MP said that Naidu’s family which runs Heritage Company is well connected with many companies that were involved in irregularities.
Directors of such companies were also directors in the Heritage.
He asked whether Naidu owns all those companies or can he be linked with those irregularities, as many of the Heritage directors hold posts in other companies.
He said that Chandrababu and Lokesh are making all such false allegations against him since they were unable to compete with him politically and warned them not to cross their limits.
