YSR Congress party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy never hides his hatred for Kamma community.
In almost every tweet, he tries to take a dig at Kammas and tries to attack Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for promoting Kammas and describes the TDP as Kamma party.
On Saturday, Sai Reddy found fault with the appointment of senior Indian Revenue Service officer Ch Venkayya Chowdary as the additional and joint executive officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Chowdary assumed charge in the morning.
The YSRCP general secretary said the NDA government headed by Naidu was giving top priority to Kamma community.
“Including the TTD additional EO post, Naidu has been appointing Kammas in all the key positions,” he said.
Sai Reddy predicted that even the TTD chairman post would also go to a Kamma leader, as there is a reliable information that Naidu has finalised the name of a close community leader for the post.
“The chief minister is planning to appoint a Kamma leader as the state government’s special representative in New Delhi. He doesn’t believe that there are efficient leaders in other communities,” he said.
What Sai Reddy forgot that his boss and party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, too, preferred only Reddys in the key positions during his regime. The TTD chairman post was first held by Y V Subba Reddy and later by Bhumana Karunakar Reddy.
Even the TTD executive officer post was given to Reddys – first it was K S Jawahar Reddy and later A V Dharma Reddy.
“At least now, the TTD executive officer post was given to a BC leader – J Shyamala Rao, not Reddy or Kamma,” a TDP leader said.
