Sadhineni Yamini, once the most active and glamorous face of the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh who defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019, has now got a key position in the party.
According to a communication from the state party headquarters, Yamini has been appointed as state secretary of AP BJP Mahila Morcha, which is a very position in the party. She shared the “good news” to her followers through social media.
Stating that she was extremely happy to get the post, Sadhineni Yamini thanked state BJP president Somu Veerraju and state BJP Mahila Morcha president Nirmala, besides party leaders and cadres.
Yamini was the star campaigner for the TDP in 2019 elections and she was also the general secretary of the state TDP. However, she quit the TDP on personal grounds and kept herself away from politics for some time. Later, she joined the BJP.
She was made the official spokeswoman of the BJP but now, she has been given promotion as Mahila Morcha general secretary.
