It is not unusual for film makers spending lavishly on picturising a particular song in a film, if they think it is going to the USP of the film.
Sometimes, they even choose picturesque locations abroad to shoot just one song.
However, the maximum one would spend on shooting a song on the sets is Rs 1-2 crore, depending on the lavish sets. If a producer is spending Rs 5 crore on picturising a song, then it must be a very special song.
According to sources, popular director Trivikram Srinivas has spent over Rs 5 crore to picturise the song “Ramulo Ramulu” on Allu Arjun for his forthcoming film “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo.”
Sources said the song was completely shot indoors by building a huge set at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore. Dancers and make-up artistes from Mumbai were roped in for the song.
Apart from that a cover video was made on the song to release it in public. This also incurred huge expenditure for the film makers.
“Taking all such expenses into consideration, it cost a bomb for Trivikram to shoot just one song,” sources said.
