Ever since industrialist-turned-politician C M Ramesh deserted the Telugu Desam Party that gave him political life and defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party in June this year, he has been maintaining a very low profile.
Except posting his photographs in saffron avatar in the social media, nothing much is heard about him. Apparently, he has quietly managed to get out of the troubles caused by the Income Tax raids and Enforcement Directorate searches.
Now, Ramesh is back in the news, this time with his grand plans to perform engagement of his son Ritwik this month end.
Following the trend of celebrities who are preferring destination weddings, Ramesh is said to be performing his son’s engagement in Dubai this month-end.
“It is a sort of curated event in the most exotic locales of Dubai, where Ramesh is going to throw a huge party for the select guests. Since he is now in the BJP, he is said to be inviting who’s who of the saffron brigade,” sources said.
And guess how much Ramesh is spending on the engagement? Grapevine has it that the expenditure will be anywhere around Rs 25 crore. Apparently, he is arranging special flights for the VVIPs attending the engagement ceremony.
One can imagine how much he will be spending for the marriage, if he is spending so much money on just engagement. Surely, he has come out of all troubles after joining the BJP!
