Former YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram parliamentary constituency Kanumuri Raghu Ramakrishna Raju seems to have reconciled to the fact that he won’t be able to contest the upcoming elections, as all the three alliance partners of National Democratic Alliance have dumped him.
Raju, who has been releasing crispy videos ever since his name was not found in any of the lists of the Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party for Narasapuram Lok Sabha seat, declared on Tuesday that he has become a loner in politics, as no political party is supporting him.
“By this time, you might have understood that I don’t have the support of any political party, as I don’t have membership in any of these parties. I have been fighting with the YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy single-handedly. Nobody has come to my rescue, when I waged a battle risking my life,” he said.
Raju pointed out that none of the leaders who had joined the TDP and the BJP in the recent past and got the party tickets to contest the coming elections had ever uttered a word against Jagan, let alone facing any suffering in the ruling party.
“If anybody can show one such leader in the opposition parties who has waged any battles like me, I shall quit politics. This is my challenge,” he said.
Yet, he regretted that none of the three NDA allies acknowledged his sacrifice and gave him the party ticket, though they encouraged many other leaders.
“Perhaps, my fighting spirit has become a negative point for me,” he said.
Raju, however, sought to pamper TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.
“All these days, I had been fighting against the Jagan government to see that a great leader like Naidu should come back to power. I felt very bad when Jagan described him as an old jackal. I strongly opposed such a talk. But I never craved for any position or post in the TDP,” he said.
