The squabbles among the members of the NRI Academy of Sciences at Mangalagiri are intensifying the supremacy fight with every passing day.
It was only on Wednesday that some members have filed cases of financial fraud against others in the Mangalagiri police station.
On Thursday, the two teams held separate zoom conferences and elected two executive committees, further intensifying the fight.
The committee removed secretary Mukkamala Apparao from the post two days ago and appointed Avula Surendra. Polavarapu Raghava Rao was re-elected as president for this group.
The second group, supported by Apprao had elected another committee with Manthena Narasa Raju as president and Somu Krishna Murthy as secretary among others.
While Raghava Rao’s group claimed that they have 17 members attendance at the zoom meeting, the other group with Apparao claimed 19 members.
The NRI hospital at Mangalagiri has been providing super speciality health services to the people for the past 18 years.
The hospital has medical college attached which as 250 graduate and 150 post graduate seats.
It is also a point to be remembered that the college and hospital were on sale due to squabbles among the members.
Further, rumours are doing round in the state that “Megha” Krishna Reddy had acquired the college and hospital and the formalities of transfer of the management were on the cards.
However, the institution is now on pan with two groups fighting against each other and even filing criminal and other cases against each other.
