Raju's Disqualification, Steel Plant Top YSRCP's Agenda In Parliament

The disqualification of defiant MP Kanumuri Raghurama Krishnam Raju tops the YSR Congress Party MP’s agenda in the ensuing Parliament session.

The MPs are likely to meet the Lok Sabha speaker to renew their demand for disqualification of the MP and even hold protest in the Lok Sabha during the session.

The YSR Congress had given a fresh representation to the Lok Sabha speaker in a different format as requested by the Speaker’s office recently.

The party is now insisting on disqualification of the MP for his anti-party activities, which he justifies.

The other issues included voice against privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, clearance for the Disha Act and fixation of the jurisdiction for the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB).

The AP Assembly had already passed a resolution opposing privatisation of the Visakha Steel Plant.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy too had written two letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the steel plant issue.

The party is scheduled to raise the issue and hold protest against the privatisation of the steel plant.

The meeting of the YSR Congress Parliamentary Party which held at Tadepalli on Thursday resolved to raise these issues during the Parliament session.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who chaired the meeting, told the MPs to be firm on raising these issues and see that the Central government complies with the demands.
