The 2019 general elections and the subsequent local bodies elections and the poor performance of TDP in Kuppam is putting greater pressure on its president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Party leader S R Bala Kumar made an appeal to Chandrababu Naidu to build his house in Kuppam. He spoke at the party review meeting the other day with Chandrababu Naidu on Kuppam Municipal elections results.
Chandrababu Naidu, who had been winning the Kuppam Assembly constituency since 1989, was seen trailing for the first three rounds in the 2019 general elections.
Though he had won the seat with lowest majority, the TDP ranks are mounting pressure on Chandrababu Naidu to build a house for him in Kuppam ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The TDP had lost the panchayat elections in the Kuppam Assembly constituency area.
The party had also lost the municipal elections in Kuppam, despite Chandrababu Naidu’s campaign a week before the election schedule was released.
The party also lost the elections despite Nara Lokesh campaigning intensively in the Kuppam Municipality.
After the successive defeats, the TDP ranks are now mounting pressure on Chandrababu Naidu to build a house and keep visiting the constituency at least once in every three months.
Chandrababu Naidu never campaigned in Kuppam since 1998 elections. He did not even visit the constituency to receive the winner certificate to be issued by the returning officer after the elections.
Now that the party lost the elections badly and the hopes of the leaders are dying day after day, they are mounting pressure on him unlike never before.
