Pawan vacates camp office: Bad sentiment?

Pawan vacates camp office: Bad sentiment?

In an interesting decision, Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan announced on Thursday that he would be vacating the camp office allotted to him at Governorpet in Vijayawada.

In a letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan explained that he wished to relocate to his own camp office adjacent to his residence in Mangalagiri.

As a result, he was returning the camp office in Vijayawada to the government, along with the furniture and other amenities provided.

He expressed his gratitude to Naidu for allocating him such a spacious and palatial bungalow of the irrigation department at Governorpet as his camp office. However, he decided to move to his own office.

Sources indicated that although Pawan Kalyan was assigned the Governorpet camp office soon after taking charge, he had not been frequenting the location regularly, except in the early days.

Lately, he has spent most of his time at his Mangalagiri camp office and his chambers in the state secretariat.

However, the main reason for Pawan Kalyan’s decision to vacate the camp office, sources said, was due to the negative sentiment associated with it.

Nearly all ministers who operated from this camp office lost their elections and even their cabinet positions.

For instance, Botsa Satyanarayana and Anil Kumar Yadav of the YSR Congress Party, as well as Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao of the TDP, had used this camp office but subsequently lost power. This led to rumors that the camp office was considered inauspicious due to Vastu sentiments.

This is likely the reason why Pawan decided to move to his own camp office, distancing himself from the Governorpet location.
