With elections to the Andhra Pradesh state assembly hardly nine months away, Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan has decided to take politics a little seriously, instead of doing part-time politics.
According to party sources, Pawan has decided to shift his base completely from Hyderabad to Mangalagiri in Guntur district, from where he would focus on his political campaign. He would stay at his Mangalagiri residence and attend the party office regularly.
All the party activities have been moved from Hyderabad to Mangalagiri, including his office furniture, files, computers and staff members.
“He will not go to Hyderabad, unless he has any shooting schedules,” the party sources said.
In fact, even his filmy activities would also be operated from Mangalagiri. Any producer, director and other script-related staff would have to come to Mangalagiri to discuss with Pawan Kalyan.
“Only if there are any shooting schedules in Hyderabad, he would go there,” sources said.
The Jana Sena Party chief, in fact, shifted his base to Vijayawada on Sunday evening itself.
He was busy with his meetings with party seniors on organisational activities and third-phase of Vaarahi Yatra at his Mangalagiri office in the last two days.
On Tuesday, he called for a meeting of party leaders from East Godavari and West Godavari districts.
In the next two days, he will hold meetings with leaders of other districts, sources said, adding that he would soon appoint committees for various wings of the party.
