Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is a relieved man, as his eight-year-old son Mark Shankar, who was injured in a fire mishap at a summer camp in a Singapore school on Tuesday, is recovering well and has been declared out of danger.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who accompanied Pawan Kalyan to Singapore to support his younger brother, posted an update on X on Thursday stating that Mark Shankar is stable and has been discharged from the hospital.
“However, he still needs time for full recovery. With the divine blessings of our family deity, Lord Anjaneya, he will heal completely and return to good health soon. We thank the Almighty for protecting our child from a major accident and tragedy,” he wrote.
He also expressed gratitude to the fans and supporters of the Mega family who have been praying in temples across many villages and wishing a speedy recovery for Mark Shankar.
“On my personal behalf and on behalf of my brother Pawan Kalyan, I sincerely thank everyone,” he added.
According to sources close to the family, Pawan Kalyan is expected to stay in Singapore for another two to three days to be with his wife, Anna Lezhneva, and their children until Mark Shankar fully recovers.
“The Jana Sena Party chief is said to be considering bringing his family back to Hyderabad to support them through the recovery period and help them overcome the trauma. In any case, it is currently summer vacation for Mark Shankar,” the sources said.
Once their son makes a full recovery, Pawan and Anna will decide whether to continue his education in Singapore or shift the family to Hyderabad permanently.
