Of late, power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has been busy acting in films round the clock to make some quick money to feed his family and pay school fees for his children.
At the same time, Pawan is also apprehensive that if he doesn’t appear in public at least now and then to take up their issues, then there is every possibility of the people not taking him and his political activity seriously.
So, he has decided to make political appearances now and then.
The other day, he announced that he would make a tour of Amaravati villages to join the struggle of farmers who have been agitating against shifting of the administrative capital to Visakhapatnam.
But so far, there has not been any announcement from him on when he would take up this tour.
On Wednesday, when the agitation of farmers reached 50 days, Pawan apparently felt that he was being ignored and hurriedly issued a statement.
He complimented the farmers, especially women, who have been waging a relentless battle demanding that Jagan drop the three capitals plan.
Pawan regretted that thousands of farmers who had given their lands for the capital were forced to hit the streets and stage dharnas for their capital. He demanded that the capital of Andhra Pradesh should continue at Amaravati.
He said he would make a tour of Amaravati after February 10 to express his solidarity with the agitating farmers.
He even assured to take up their fight at the national level. Surprisingly, Pawan did not mention any specific dates for his tour.
Nobody knows what he meant by “after February 10.” It could even be after six months.
Already, Pawan has lost his credibility after cancelling his proposed “Maha Padayatra” from Tadepalli to Vijayawada on February 2.
So, it would be better he announces the exact days of his tour in Amaravati.
