Pawan Not Surrounded By People As He Expected

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited areas affected by Eleru waters at Gottiprolu in the Pithapuram constituency of Kakinada district. However, the crowd was far smaller than what he had anticipated a few days earlier.

It is known that Pawan Kalyan had previously stated that if he went to meet flood victims, people would surround him, potentially hindering rescue operations.

He used this reasoning to explain why he did not visit the flood victims in Vijayawada, a decision that sparked criticism.

In his own constituency, some areas were flooded by water from the Eleru Reservoir. Notably, no officials prevented him from visiting these areas; in fact, the Kakinada Collector accompanied him.

Had he visited the Vijayawada flood victims in a similar manner, he might have avoided the intense backlash.

Officials commented that his failure to console the Vijayawada flood victims during their time of grief would forever leave a mark on his political career.

At least he showed concern for the people of his own constituency, which deserves some praise.

If he hadn’t gone to Pithapuram, it would have jeopardized his political future, as people would have viewed him as an opportunist who only shows up when convenient.
