Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had been the regular target of the YSR Congress, for his kindness to the TDP, most of the time.
The YSR Congress accuses Jana Sena of coming to the rescue of TDP, whenever the party or its chief Chandrababu Naidu is in crisis.
The Jana Sena had published a booklet on 100 days of YSR Congress regime a month ago and blamed the government and chief minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, accusing them of a complete failure. However, he never did such an attempt in the last five years when the TDP was in power.
The other day, when chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy launched the prestigious YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme, Pawan Kalyan issued a statement, in tune with the TDP’s criticism, that the scheme had ignored several eligible farmers. He blamed the government for not rolling out the scheme as claimed.
He also found fault with the government for splitting the promised monetary benefit into three instalments against the promise and including the Central government’s share in it.
His criticism is being targeted widely in the social media by the YSR Congress ranks. They are questioning the Jana Sena chief for not issuing such a statement on the election promises of Chandrababu Naidu between 2014 and 2019.
They are pointing an accusing finger at Pawan Kalyan for not questioning Chandrababu Naidu on farmers’ loan waiver, which was one of the key promises of the TDP in 2014.
The TDP could not fulfil the loan waiver promise and the last two instalments were not paid to the farmers in five years.
His demand to the government that it should apologise to the farmers for alterations to the scheme is the major target of the YSR congress against Pawan Kalyan.
They question him for not asking the same from Chandrababu Naidu when the TDP chief failed to implement loan waiver.
