Pawan Kalyan Is Sick, Not Silent

Amidst speculation that Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan has gone into silent mode as he is not happy with his alliance partner Telugu Desam Party led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his office issued a statement on Wednesday evening.

Disclosing the real reason for his sudden absence from the political action, his office said Pawan Kalyan is currently suffering from viral fever and spondylitis, causing him significant discomfort.

“He has been taking rest following a medical advice from the doctors. He will be back into action after he recovers,” his office said.

“Due to his health condition, he may be unable to attend the state cabinet meeting scheduled for Thursday,” the statement from the deputy chief minister’s office said.

Pawan Kalyan’s absence from action at a time when the YSR Congress party was going hammer and tongs at the coalition for the irregularities in recent municipal elections raised many an eyebrow.

YSRCP spokesman and former minister Ambati Rambabu described him as a coward and wondered why he remained a mute spectator to the irregularities in the just concluded by-elections in certain municipalities.

He wondered whether Pawan’s silence was intentional or he was afraid of facing backlash.
