Pawan Kalyan all praise for Revanth Reddy

For a change, Jana Sena Party president and deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan showered praises on Telangana Congress president and chief minister A Revanth Reddy for demolishing illegal constructions that came up by encroaching water bodies.

Pawan Kalyan was referring to the floods caused to Budameru river in Vijayawada and said 90 percent of the colonies had come up on the catchment areas of the river, making it shrink and are now responsible for the floods.

In this regard, the deputy chief minister pointed out to the establishment of HYDRAA by the Telangana government to remove illegal encroachment on lakes and riverbeds.

“Revanth Reddy has done a very good job by establishing HYDRAA to protect the lakes and ponds in Hyderabad,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan said there would be no natural disasters like floods if there were no illegal constructions on the rivers and water bodies.

“Such a system is required everywhere in the country,” he said.

However, the Jana Sena Party chief gave a suggestion to the Telangana chief minister.

He said many people had spent their hard-earned money to buy houses and flats in these encroachments and they should not be punished for the greed of the builders.

“So, I request Revanth Reddy to consider paying of compensation to the buyers of already built structures in the FTL and buffer zones of lakes, so that they would not suffer. I want the Telangana chief minister to consider these issues in humanitarian angle,” Pawan Kalyan said.
