Pawan Kalyan About The Murder Of Vangaveeti Ranga

Pawan Kalyan addressed his party workers and cadre today. In his long speech he touched on the topic of Vangaveeti Ranga, the legendary leader from Vijayawada region who was slain in 1988.

Pawan said that he never met Vangaveeti Ranga but saw him twice.

"I was very young at that time. I didn't talk to Vangaveeti Ranga. But I know how the lakhs of people used to come to his meetings. When he appealed that he had a threat from the government of that time (TDP government), nobody from the people who came to his meetings protected him. When he was killed while doing fasting, I got a feeling that he would have been saved had at least 100 people a day from the lakhs of his followers safeguarded him", Pawan said implying that the people those come to public gatherings don't put their lives at stake to protect their leader.

Talking about the Kapu Garjana movement of 2014, he said, "I never run away from the problems. I was told by the Kapu leaders that YCP people intruded into the groups of Kapu agitators. That resulted in the biggest mishap (train burning). Nobody knows that they would sit on a railway track. A small mistake happened at that time and foiled the movement".

That way, he said that Vangaveeti Ranga faced the threat of the TDP government of that time and Kapu Garjana experienced the threat of YCP mobs though not in government in 2014.

He is not exactly clear about what he wanted to convey but it can be left to the imagination of the readers.
