Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan is making wild allegations against the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government; particularly his comments on village and ward volunteers’ system triggered an uproar in the Andhra Pradesh politics.
And when the Jagan government issued a GO, seeking prosecute Pawan Kalyan, he declared that he was not at all afraid of such GOs and was ready to face prosecution.
“Let them arrest me and even torture me. I am ready. I made a statement after taking all risks,” he said.
Stating that he had established Jana Sena Party after preparing himself to face any kind of eventuality, Pawan Kalyan said the GO to prosecute him would spell doom for the Jagan government.
“What I have said about village/ward volunteers is 100 percent true. Volunteers are those who do service to the people selflessly, but not by taking Rs 5,000 per month. They are not doing service to the people, but to the ruling party by stealing the data of the people,” he said.
One wonders what Pawan Kalyan’s confidence is in making such a statement. Apparently, he thinks he has the backing of Bharatiya Janata Party national leadership; particularly Union home minister Amit Shah.
The power star said he had already lodged a complaint to Amit Shah, whom he had met on Wednesday, about how the Jagan Mohan Reddy government was misusing the village/ward volunteers’ system to steal the data of the people and using it for the political purposes of the ruling party.
“I have explained everything to Amit Shah and he said he would get it inquired into. The Jagan government has to pay a penalty for misusing the system,” he said.
