“Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan is a new type of god. It is better not to confront such new gods,” was the cryptic comment of Andhra Pradesh home minister Mekathoti Sucharita on Thursday, when asked to react on the Jana Sena chief’s comments against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
Well, in Christianity, the term New God refers to “Satan” (devil), who claimed himself to be an alternative to God.
That is why, Sucharita said: “Pawan Kalyan is a new god. Generally, I don’t confront with these new gods,” indirectly comparing Pawan with a Satan.
She wondered at the comment of Pawan Kalyan that he would “skin” the YSRC leaders, who criticise him.
“Who is ready here to get skinned by Pawan? How can he do that?” she asked.
Reacting to Pawan comparing the YSRC leaders with dogs, Sucharita said it showed his culture and attitude.
“We can’t say more about his language. We leave it to his wisdom,” she said.
Stating that people of Andhra Pradesh have complete clarity on Pawan Kalyan, the home minister said he was rejected in two assembly constituencies.
“In the next elections, one doesn’t know in how many seats he will contest and whether he will be able to win even from one seat,” she said.
Sucharita described Pawan Kalyan as a man of instability.
“He doesn’t have clarity on politics and he, himself, doesn’t know which side he would take. He claims himself to be a Leftist and suddenly shifts loyalty to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Another time, he tilts towards the TDP. Except uttering whatever that comes to his mind, he has no political maturity,” she added.
