The talk of a possible alliance between Jana Sena Party headed by power star Pawan Kalyan and Telugu Desam Party led by N Chandrababu Naidu has gained ground in the political circles following a meeting between the two a couple of days ago.
While the TDP leaders are jubilant over the developments, the Jana Sena Party workers are not very happy, though they are not completely opposing the alliance with the TDP per se.
All these days, the Jana Sena Party workers had been hoping that if their party and the Bharatiya Janata Party fight the next elections together and come to power, Pawan Kalyan would be the chief ministerial candidate, since the BJP is not a big force in AP and Jana Sena Party would have lion’s share in the number of seats.
But if the Jana Sena Party has an alliance with the TDP, with or without the BJP, the TDP would have the maximum number of seats in case the alliance wins the assembly elections. In such a scenario, it will be Naidu and not Pawan who will become the chief minister.
This, the fans of Pawan Kalyan are not able to digest because they want to see him as the chief minister of AP. This is what they asked Pawan’s brother Naga Babu during his debate on social media under the hashtag #AskNagababu.
Many of Jana Sena Party workers have asked for a clarity from Naga Babu on whether the party would have an alliance with the TDP. If the answer is yes, who is going to be the chief ministerial candidate.
While nobody asked the mega brother not to have an alliance with the TDP, but demanded that in the event of forging an alliance, it should insist on declaring Pawan Kalyan as the CM candidate.
“Please accept the alliance with the TDP only if Pawan is declared as the CM candidate,” they demanded.
Another question that came up during the social media interaction with Naga Babu was whether megastar Chiranjeevi will campaign for Jana Sena Party or confine himself to moral support.
It shows the mega fans are not very keen on Pawan extending support to the TDP by sacrificing the CM post. Instead, they think it would be better if he goes it alone in the elections.
