Opinion: What Is Stopping YS Jagan From Doing This?

Every now and then some news papers are writing that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be coming to the public and meeting them.

Some write that he will be coming out after Dussehra, some mention that he is going to meet the people after Diwali and some announce that he will be doing a public tour after his birthday. The followers of YSRCP share the news in social media but at the end their waiting becomes futile.

This has been happening from many months ever since he became the Chief Minister. He never came out.

I think, whenever he is planning to meet the public, some election result is stopping him. He must be feeling that the people are with him and his party and so everything is intact. I only feel that this is a psychological aspect but not anything political. The person who gets something after a long fight gets into a relaxed and complacent mood. The relaxation may sometime lead to laziness and lethargy as well.

All days won't be the same. Human touch is always needed for the voters. Though the elections are two years ahead, the leaders like YS Jagan should come and walk with the public to understand their woes, condition of roads, other facilities and everything. Relying on the reports of officers is not always wise for a Chief Minister.

On the other hand Jagan Mohan Reddy didn't even shift his camp office to Vizag though he stood strong on the three-capital decision. What must be stopping him in doing so? No legal permission is needed for him to work from anywhere in his state. He has no concrete reason to say why he is not moving to Vizag. Everything can be attributed only to his complacent mood.
