Opinion: Difference Between NTR And Balakrishna

NTR was a legend. He was an actor of invincible talent and a leader with impeccable decency. He kept up the pride of Telugus with his stature, gesture and culture. He used to address even the youngsters as "meeru" with respect. He was never seen uttering any filthy word on any public platform. He never manhandled anyone in public. He used to respect his fans. He called every Telugu woman 'aadapaduchu' (sister) and never made any disgraceful comments about them.

The decency has gone with his demise. His son Balakrishna is completely failing to continue his father's legacy.

Balakrishna, who became an actor with the blessings of his father keeps on chanting his name in TV interviews and audio functions. But is that enough? What is the use of mere praising when he himself is failing to follow at least one good quality of his father.

In an audio function earlier, he made a sexist comment on women. The issue was brought up in the Assembly as well, where he tried to cover up in a more disgraceful way.

His regular man-handling of his fans is a widely known fact. Is that not a repulsive thing to the general public? How can anyone respect him with such acts?

He uses filthy words in public meetings without being cautious about the media cameras.

Today, a photographer was beaten up by Balakrishna. It is said that the unpredictable actor got infuriated when the photographer was clicking a picture. Later the same photographer was made to give an explanation reading some matter on the teleprompter. The matter may get settled theoretically but not morally.

When a married man or a woman is caught in an illegal sexual relationship and when they say that they are engaged with mutual consent, that may pull down the curtains on legal issues, but not the moral system. This is something similar.

One has to be responsible and righteous when he is representing a constituency as an MLA and a legendary leader's legacy.

This limitless audacity of Balakrishna is one of the major reasons for developing hatred and repulsiveness on the subjects he is representing- be it a party or a caste. He should understand the gravity of his misbehavior.

He, being an ardent believer of Astrologer may assume that planets are with him and so he can do anything. To say in the language he understands, he is piling up his Karma with negativity and one day it boomerangs for sure.

As an admirer of vintage Balakrishna as an actor from the 1990s, I wish he would mend his ways and become a lovable person first keeping the power and pomp aside.
