TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is an outdated politician. This was what Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said on the floor of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly some time ago.
When the TDP MLAs were heckling him for being new-born in politics, Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a retort to them by calling Naidu as an outdated politician.
This charge of an outdated politician resurfaced once again in Andhra Pradesh with Naidu throwing an open challenge to the YSR Congress on quitting Parliament over the Special Category Status demand.
Chandrababu Naidu said his party MPs would quit Parliament and challenged the YSR Congress MPs to quit.
Well, this challenge is enough to say that Chandrababu Naidu is an outdated politician.
On April 8, 2018, the YSR Congress MPs quit Parliament on the SCS demand. This is history.
But, after close to four years, Chandrababu Naidu made the same demand to the YSR Congress in 2021, which means that Naidu is still far away from 2018 or is an outdated politician following the YSR Congress agenda of 2018 in 2021.
It was Chandrababu Naidu who had given up the SCS for the state by accepting and endorsing the special package.
