Only The Rich Can Contest For TDP Seats

The TDP considers 2024 general elections as a matter of great importance. This election can be crucial for the TDP's existence.

That is why Chandrababu is focusing intently on selecting candidates with the determination to seize power under any circumstances.

Notably, Nara Lokesh has announced some candidates as part of the padayatra. Meanwhile, Chandrababu is obtaining special reports on the financial resources of the candidates.

Some leaders are pressuring Chandrababu through Lokesh for a ticket. However, this time Chandrababu has decided not to field weak candidates and is determined not to succumb to any pressure.

A woman ex-minister from Rayalaseema reportedly pleaded Lokesh to consider her saying that she would spend a considerable sum of money after learning that she would not be given a ticket.

It is reported that preference will be given to new faces and leaders with adequate financial resources.

Additionally, Chandrababu, who is taking various survey reports into account, may exclude even the senior leaders by claiming a lack of financial resources.

The candidate selection process involves several equations, and rich leaders are being assigned the responsibility of spending in as many constituencies as possible.

Although some candidates may have a good reputation in certain constituencies, the party may struggle to fund their campaigns.

In such cases, there is a talk that rich individuals who are vying for a ticket will be held accountable for the expenses.

This time, believing that YCP is expected to spend any amount necessary, Chandrababu believes that financial resources are essential to the party's survival.

However, some argue that the central government may be monitoring those who support Chandrababu financially.

It is difficult to predict what will happen by the time of elections, but it appears that more money will be spent lavishly than in the previous elections.
