Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been making desperate attempts to win the confidence of the people of the state so that he can get back to power in 2024 elections, has come out with yet another innovative strategy to reach out to the people.
The TDP is contemplating launching an FM radio on social media to convey the message of Naidu to the people on a regular basis on the issues pertaining to the state and the party.
In a way, it resembles the “Mann Ki Baat” programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who speaks out his mind on various issues through All India Radio on the first Sunday of every month.
The TDP’s radio will have a similar “Mann Ki Baat” of Naidu but it would be broadcast on the social media. If there is any major development or any issue pertaining to the state, Naidu will speak out his mind and it would be broadcast on this social media radio.
According to sources, the technical wing of the TDP is finalising the knitty-gritty of the social media radio and it would materialise very soon.
“The radio is an effective medium to convey Naidu’s message not only to the party cadre across the state, but also to the common people through the social media platform,” sources said.
Naidu is apparently not happy with the way the mainstream media or social media gave the coverage to his open letter condemning the recent attack by the YSRC cadres on the TDP office at Gannavaram.
Even the party’s digital paper could not take the TDP chief’s message strongly into the people.
“So, the best way to take the message of Naidu is through audio medium. The latest technology enables launch of an exclusive radio on the social media,” sources added.
The TDP is planning to purchase a specific bandwidth to transmit the party voice and take it into the people.
“The Web Radio is being designed in such a way that it can be taken through mobile phones into every nook and corner of the state. Since the 5G network is available in most phones now, it is the best medium to convey the party message through radio,” sources said.
