A day after the Kurnool police registering a criminal case against Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly spreading false information about a new Coronavirus variant in the district, the Anantapur police booked a case against his son and party general secretary Nara Lokesh.
A case was booked in D Hirehal police station under Section 153 (A), 505 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code against Lokesh for allegedly making wild allegations in the social media against government whip and Rayadurgam MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy for an incident that happened in Karnataka state.
The case was filed following a complaint that Lokesh was creating hatred among the people towards the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government in general and the Rayadurgam MLA in particular by posting derogatory comments in the social media.
TDP politburo member Kalva Srinivasulu alleged that Kapu Ramachandra Reddy and his gang were exploiting natural resourcdes in Rayadurgam.
“When Lokesh questioned his alleged looting, he is instigating the police to register cases,” Srinivasulu said.
He said the TDP would expose the alleged nefarious activities of Kapu Ramachandra Reddy and his gang with the support of the local officials.
