Now, CBI notices to Sai Reddy on bail cancellation

Even after the CBI special court reserved its judgement till August 25 on the case pertaining to cancellation of the bail of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, it is the turn of YSRC general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy to face the bail cancellation.

On Saturday, the CBI special court served notices on Sai Reddy on the petition filed by rebel YSRC MP from Raghurama Krishnam Raju, seeking to cancel his bail.

The court directed that Sai Reddy file his counter and it would take up hearing on Sai Reddy’s bail petition on August 10.

On August 3, Raghurama Krishnam Raju filed a petition filed in the CBI court seeking cancellation of Sai Reddy, who is accused no. 2 in the alleged quid pro quo cases of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Senior advocates S Venkatesh and P S Murthy, who filed the petition on behalf of Raghurama Krishnam Raju, stating that Sai Reddy was threatening the witnesses saying he had close relations with several Union ministers.

The petitions have become a major embarrassment to the YSR Congress party, as the rebel MP has become a thorn in its flesh.

Though the party has been bringing pressure on Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, seeking disqualification of Raju from Lok Sabha, there has been no response so far.
