Nomination Posts Letter: TDP NRIs Fuming With Anger

Jayaram Komati, the NRI TDP Coordinator, has written a letter to Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, requesting that NRIs who contributed to TDP's victory in the recent elections be accommodated.

The content of the letter goes as follows: "As you are aware, our NRI TDP USA hardcore warriors and sympathizers, who either came to Andhra Pradesh before the election or worked tirelessly from the USA since 2019, have greatly contributed to our TDP party's success and victory, dedicating their valuable time and spending significant amounts of money. In my opinion, it would be beneficial for the welfare of our new capital region as well as the development of Andhra Pradesh if we provide some important and suitable nominated posts for them.

Below are some of the individuals I bring to your kind attention for consideration in nominated posts under the USA NRI category."

A long list of 250 candidates was attached to the letter. But how can 250 people be accommodated in nominated posts? Those looking at the list are cracking jokes and making trolls.

An insider commented, "The first 45 names are not in alphabetical order, hinting that they are important and need to be accommodated at any cost. The remaining names, which are in alphabetical order, seem to have been included just to satisfy others, but could be an indirect code that they need not be considered for any post."

The accuracy of this arrangement is not known, but it is an opinion.

On the other hand, a few NRIs are lamenting not seeing their names on the list.

"I spent Rs 25 lakh from my own pocket for TDP. They didn't even mention my name," said a person associated with NRI-TDP.

"This letter provokes anger among TDP NRIs who worked hard by investing money, time and energies but nit seeing their name in the list. Jayaram Komati did a foolish thing by stirring up a hornet's nest", said another disappointed NRI.

Some are cracking jokes that Jayaram Komati forgot to include his own name on the list, assuming he would be given a position anyway since he is writing the letter and representing the TDP-NRI group of the USA.

Another NRI remarked, "This is basically a list of Kamma NRIs. But for namesake, a few people from other castes were listed, though they are very negligible in number."

Well, putting these observations and opinions aside, by doing these kinds of things, YSRCP has suffered from a disturbed ecosystem within the party. The greed and expectations of every NRI and party admirer cannot be fulfilled here. But the irony is that everyone assumes they did the best and deserve higher recognition. But that hardly happens.

There are thousands of NRIs who worked for TDP. By not mentioning their names, they could revolt and create a messy situation.

By meddling in unnecessary matters, this letter serves to disturb the camaraderie among the TDP NRIs.
