Needle of suspicion points towards TDP

Hyderabad: Reaffirming that only a CBI investigation can bring out the names of the culprits who murdered former MP and state minister YS Vivekananada Reddy, YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the needle of suspicion points towards Chandrababu Naidu and any investigation done under the supervision of his men will not bring out the truth.

If the TDP leadership has thought that such incidents would demoralise YSRCP, it has thoroughly mistaken and God will teach them a fitting lesson, the Leader of Opposition said after appraising the Governor ESL Narasimhan about the murder politics of TDP here on Saturday.

The Director General of Police and Additional Director General of Police should be refrained from election duties as they have been behaving like TDP activists and agents, he said.

"The conspiracy angle cannot be ignored as the incident has happened in a gruesome manner which left a trail pointing the suspension to TDP leadership.

The sequence of events show that the Superintendent of Police of Kadapa district is transferred before the mandatory two year term is complete and the incident happens just 40 days after the new incumbent takes charge.

A scene was created with fabricated versions that my uncle had walked into the wash room and collapsed due to loss of blood and in that state he could write a letter mentioning the name of his driver and above all why is he afraid of a CBI probe.

It’s my uncle who was killed and when we ask for a CBI probe why is Chandrababu Naidu afraid of it unless, he and his people are thoroughly involved in it," he said.

The assailants knew that Vivekananda Reddy was staying alone and they hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him as he has been campaigning in Jammalamadugu assembly constituency where we have brought in a fresh face Sudhir Reddy and pitted against the turncoat Adinaryana Reddy who was given a cabinet berth by TDP.

Additional DGP Intelligence has been very actively involved in engineering the defections from our Party along with the owner of a vernacular daily. The police force is being used by Chandrababu Naidu as watchmen, he said.

Murder politics is not new to TDP. When our grandfather was killed in a bomb blast, Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister. When there was an attack on me in the VIP lounge at Vizag airport Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister and the assailant was working in a restaurant owned by a TDP leader.

Two days before the death of my father Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, it was Chandrababu Naidu who said in Assembly that YSR will not come back as if he had a prior knowledge of the helicopter crash.

Now when my uncle was killed, as TDP facing a desperate and decisive defeat in Kadapa, they hatch a conspiracy to eliminate him as he was actively campaigning in the Jammalamadugu constituency.

My uncle is a former state minister, four-time MLA and four-time MP and he should be given security cover. Why it was not given is a question which the state has to answer.

Earlier, speaking to media at the Party Central Office, senior leader Dharmana Prasada Rao said that Chandrababu Naidu has come to the press last night and started speaking in a way as if he was giving direction to the investigation which is ridiculous.
