Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reiterated that Chandrababu Naidu gave untouchability a new form by mocking the allotment of house sites to 50,000 poor people in the R-5 zone in the Amaravati capital region.
During a public meeting in Machilipatnam on Monday, the Chief Minister stated that the government has been giving equal priority to people's welfare and the development of all regions. However, Chandrababu and his group of thieves have been creating obstacles, similar to how demons obstruct divine rituals.
"Chandrababu tried to prevent the allotment of house sites to the poor by creating legal hurdles, claiming that it would disrupt the demography," he said. Furthermore, he mocked the allotment, suggesting that the sites would be better suited for constructing graves. The Chief Minister accused the TDP chief of treating the poor as untouchables.
Although Naidu failed to allocate even a single cent of land to the poor during his rule, he now opposes the allotment, desiring their perpetual poverty. He vehemently opposed the distribution of house sites, as he feared that his associates would be deprived of benefits, according to the Chief Minister.
"He wants the poor to toil for the rich in the Amaravati region, working from morning till evening, but he doesn't want them to settle down permanently. He fears that his proxies will lose their advantages," he explained.
The Chief Minister emphasized that even a bird seeks to build its own nest, but Naidu wants to deny the poor their right to build their homes. He urged the people to be cautious of Naidu's cunning ways.
Additionally, he criticized Naidu for humiliating SCs, BCs, and women, as well as opposing the concept of three capitals for the state's three regions.
"Naidu lacks an understanding of the poor's living conditions, and thus he lacks compassion for them," he concluded.
