Naidu to begin year-long tours from today

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is all set to begin his year-long state-wide tours from Wednesday to meet different sections of people and expose the alleged anti-people policies of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

A statement from the TDP said Naidu would take up the tours with the slogan -- “NTR Sphoorthy-Chandranna Bharosa” (NTR’s inspiration and Chandrababu Naidu’s assurance).

He will begin his tour from Chodavaram assembly constituency in Anakapalle district on Wednesday.

The TDP chief's tours would aim at highlighting the failures and destructive policies of the YSR Congress party government. Naidu would hold an assurance to the people to carve a better future for the state, the statement said.

In each tour, Naidu will cover the districts for three days, starting with the party meeting Mahanadu on the first day as part of year-long NTR centenary celebrations. At Chodavaram, he will address a public meeting.

On the second day of the tour, Naidu will hold meetings with the leaders and main activists of the party in all the seven assembly segments in the parliamentary constituency.

On the third day, he will address a series of road shows exposing the government's failures in checking the rising prices and power tariffs.

Naidu’s tours would be held in over 100 assembly segments over the next one year. There will be at least two tours in every month, the statement added.
