Naidu teaching politics to Pawan?

Naidu teaching politics to Pawan?

It is an undeniable fact that Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is a seasoned and shrewd politician and has thorough understanding about the political dynamics of the state.

Yet, Naidu has entered into an alliance with the Jana Sena Party led by Pawan Kalyan, who is an inexperienced politician and has hitherto been playing part-time politics, while pursuing his filmy career.

This is only because the TDP chief realised that his own party strength is not enough to take on the YSR Congress party headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

It is a move of sheer political exigency, nothing more, as he knows that the TDP badly needs the support of Kapu community, which is the strength of Pawan Kalyan.

But if the power star chief doesn’t involve himself seriously in the state politics even now, it will be disastrous for both the TDP and the Jana Sena.

Sources said Naidu, who is going all out to grab power in the state, is said to be bringing pressure on Pawan Kalyan to take the upcoming elections seriously at least now, since the elections are fast approaching.

He is said to be taking serious lessons to the power star on how to take the combined agenda of the TDP and Jana Sena deep into the people.

He has realised that Pawan Kalyan is trying to be just a sleeping partner of the alliance and leaving everything to the TDP, including selection of candidates.

So, Naidu has chalked out an action plan to address a series of public meetings in the next two months and at every meeting, he will be accompanied by Pawan Kalyan.

“To begin with, Naidu will begin his rallies from January 5 and address two rallies per day in each Lok Sabha constituency. That means, he will address 50 rallies by January end,” sources said.

The TDP chief is planning to involve Pawan Kalyan in at least one public rally a week, especially in the areas where both the parties are contesting, so that the Jana Sena chief, too, will be actively involved in the campaign.

“Obviously, Pawan Kalyan cannot expect to be make it big in politics, without going deep into the people. He has to keep away from acting in films at least till the elections are completed in March end or April first week,” a TDP leader said.
