Naidu suspects YSRCP moles in government!

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is said to have expressed serious concern over the leakage of crucial information from the government to the opposition YSR Congress Party.

After the officials left the cabinet meeting hall at the secretariat in Amaravati, Naidu brought this issue to the attention of the ministers.

He pointed out that there appear to be several YSRCP moles still within the government who are leaking important information about policy decisions to the opposition party.

The chief minister reportedly referred to the leakage of crucial data and information from the white papers released by the government to the YSRCP well in advance, which resulted in an immediate response from the opposition party.

Similarly, the YSRCP was able to access data pertaining to the vote-on-account budget, even though it was adopted through an ordinance approved by the state governor. In addition, many other policy decisions are reaching the YSRCP well before they are officially made, he noted.

The ministers apparently provided their own feedback and admitted that there were still several informers for the YSRCP in various departments. They suggested that the intelligence department gather details on each employee and investigate their actions during the previous regime.

They also suggested to Naidu to completely overhaul the administration and make major changes to the system to prevent the leakage of information to the opposition party.

Naidu also expressed dissatisfaction with the way some of his own party MLAs were engaging in corruption and behaving in a high-handed manner with officials and the public.

“Because of these few MLAs, the government is getting a bad name,” he lamented.

He asked the ministers to monitor these MLAs and control them so that they would adhere to proper conduct.
