This money is being flown like water into the benami company of so-called "Andhra Octopus" Lagadapati Rajagopal.
Naidu scripted a perfect 'quid pro quo' sketch to benefit Lagadapati and in return get surveys done for free for TDP, all at the cost of public money.
TDP government floated a tender for construction of lift irrigation project CBR-YVR-HNSS (Chitravathi balancing reservoir-Yogi Vemanan reservoir- Handri Neeva) at a cost of Rs 1,182 crore.
Tender conditions have been prescribed in such a manner that the contract goes only to a company, which is a benami company of Lagadapati.
Normally, in these kind of works, Joint Ventures are not allowed but for the sake of Lagadapati, this has been relaxed to enable benami company enter into JV with another Naidu's coterie company and do works.
Not only this, they are allowed to bid in excess of 5 per cent over the tender value.
