One does not know whether the so-called “data theft” case would stand in the court of law or not, but Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is definitely trying to exploit it to the maximum extent by whipping up Andhra sentiment and making electoral gains.
Apart from making a huge propaganda on the alleged conspiracy by Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhara Rao in collusion with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy during the daily press conferences and teleconferences, Naidu has now roped in “Operation Garuda” fame and actor Sivaji to fan the flames of pro-Andhra and anti-Telangana sentiment.
On Saturday, Sivaji was back with his typical style of making sensational “revelations” against the political rivals of the TDP.
He alleged that KCR was conspiring with the YSRC to defeat the TDP because “the Telangana chief minister is aware that as long as Naidu is in power, he cannot compete with AP in development and welfare.”
He went on to allege that Telangana did not have any port facility and KCR wanted to gain control over Vadarevu port with the help of Jaganmohan Reddy.
“If Naidu comes back to power, AP will be far ahead of Telangana in terms of development, which KCR does not want. That is why he is going all out to defeat the TDP and bring Jagan to power,” Sivaji alleged.
He dismissed the allegations of data theft and said it was nothing but an attempt to divert the attention of the people y the BJP-led Central Government in collusion with the Telangana government.
“Obviously, Modi does not want people to discuss about truncated railway zone or special category status,” he said.
As usual, Sivaji flaunted a handful of documents supporting his argument and drew some graphics on the board to explain the conspiracy of KCR.
He explained how the Telangana government had indulged in real data theft in collusion with the Election Commission way back in 2015 to delete the names of voters in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Nizambad district.
He said that nobody would do anything like data theft in Hyderabad after the fiasco like a vote for note scam.
"IT Grid into focus is the high drama enacted by Telangana government. But it ruined the Hyderabad brand image irreparably," he said.
