Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minster N Chandrababu Naidu himself is uncertain about his party’s political future. But he was quick to welcome Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s decision to enter politics.
In a statement, Naidu said in democracy, it was nothing but natural that new political parties enter the fray to serve the people. He said Rajinikanth was his good friend and that he wished the superstar all the best in politics.
“I welcome his entry into politics and I wish he would shine in this field too,” the TDP chief commented.
Meanwhle, Jana Sena Party chief and power star in Tollywood Pawan Kalyan, too, welcomed Rajini’s entry into active politics to serve the people.
“Rajinikanth has been toying with the idea of entering politics for quite some time. In fact, he had been indirectly in politics for a long time. Though he did not make a direct entry into politics, he had supported a political party in the past and worked for its victory,” the power star said.
Pawan Kalyan said Rajini’s strength was his tremendous fan following.
“He has millions of fans across Tamil Nadu and that would help him achieve success. I wish Rajinikanth would emerge victorious in the coming days,” he said.
