Naidu moves high court against Vizag episode

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is terribly upset with the way he was presented from meeting people as part of his “Praja Chaitanya Yatra” in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

According to the party leaders, Naidu has taken a serious note of the way the YSR Congress party workers are obstructing his tour programmes. If they repeat the Vizag episode everywhere, Naidu won’t be able to tour any part of the state.

Since the police are openly siding the ruling party, Naidu has no option left but to approach the court to get permissions for him to travel the entire state.

On Friday, the TDP filed a lunch-motion petition in the state high court stating that the YSRC government was deliberately stalling the tour of Naidu.

The party alleged that the police had miserably failed to control the YSRC activists, but tried to stall the movement of Naidu.

The TDP president asserted that he would definitely tour different parts of the Visakhapatnam.

“They can stop me once or twice. Let me also see how many times they would stall my tour,” he said.

The party is also planning to meet Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan and complain against the highhanded behaviour of the YSRC workers and failure of the police officials.
