Minister for Municipal Administration Botsa Satyaranarayana on Monday lashed out at Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for misleading the people of Amaravati in the name of the capital city.
He appealed to the public not to be fall into Naidu’s trap once again. He assured the farmers of Amaravati that their lands would be safe and there was nothing to worry about.
He asked the people of the capital city region who are protesting to withdraw the protest and assured that the government would take care of everyone.
Reacting to Naidu’s comment that development would not be possible with a few buildings like Secretariat, assembly and high court, Botsa asked the TDP chief as to why he had spent Rs 5,000 crore on the present buildings.
He alleged that Naidu had looted the land from the poor in the name of capital city and asked the people of the capital city region to understand his real intentions.
The minister questioned whether it was not true that the lands had been bought by TDP’s close aides. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy had exposed the details of purchased lands in the capital region.
He mentioned that several states in the country have their secretariats, assemblies and high courts in different places within their state.
The people have given a mandate with 150 seats and the Chief Minister was taking decisions accordingly for the development of the state.
