Naidu is like an ageing tiger, says Jagan

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to be innovative in attacking his arch rival – Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu in every public meetings, instead of being monotonous in his criticism.

On Wednesday, Jagan compared Naidu with an ageing tiger in Panchatantra fables, which tries to lure its prey by projecting itself as a holy cow.

Addressing a public meeting at Narpala in Anantapur district after the Jagananna Vidya Deevena event, Jagan narrated the story of a man-eating tiger as depicted in Panchatantra.

“The tiger, which killed many people when it was young, becomes old and is too weak to do hunting. In order to fill its belly, it adopts a new avatar. One day, it finds a golden bangle. Since it cannot do hunting on its own, it lures passers by showing the golden bangle, telling them that it is a changed animal now and is doing penance. As part of repentance, it offers the gold bangle to the passers-by. Whoever goes near the tiger to accept the bangle, it pounces on him and devours him,” Jagan narrated.

He said the TDP president was like the old tiger in the story.

“Like the man-eater which lures travelers into the sludge with false promises and devours them at leisure, Chanrababu Naidu is also trying to convince people that he has changed totally,” he said.

Stating that the old man would never learn lessons of life, he asked the people not to become victims of Chandrababu’s political dramas and antics again.

He said Naidu was using his political gimmicks to hoodwink people telling that he is a changed person now, unmindful of the fact that he took all sections of society for a ride during his term.

Throwing satirical barbs at the TDP president, he referred to the poor quality of an interview given by Naidu to a TV channel recently and said the former Chief Minister is only trying to spread lies to cheat people once again.

Like the man-eating tiger which gets old and throws baits to attract travelers to eat their flesh, the septuagenarian has attracted four foxes into his fold to spread lies and cheat the people again.

Observing that the TDP president is playing games with the human memory to cheat people for electoral gains, he asked them not to be misled by his empty promises and lies.
